Mxz 583 top speed problems

Hey everyone! I'm new here so go easy on me lol. So basically I bought a 1997 mxz 583 a few months ago and I took it to a shop and they pulled the whole sled apart and fixed everything and it's running like a dream now. He also cleaned the carbs and all that pre season riding maintenance. So I'm having problems with my top speed. The low end is perfect, lots of pep, gets up to about 60kmph in normal time, but it takes a long time to get from 60kmph-100kmph and then won't go any faster than 100.. I'm told these sleds can get up to 160-170. What could cause this? And remember that I just spent 1500 getting maintenance done to it. Thanks in advance.

Ya I already sent them an email. Waiting to hear back from them. But what would cause it to do that? I read that the rave valves can do it but they cleaned them

Way too low, should be up around 8400 or so.
Just for fun, take the belt off and use a sharpie draw a straight line from center to outer edge of both clutches. Put the belt on and make a run then see how much of the line is worn off.
This will tell you if the problem is clutching or other.

Second photo is the line closer to the top. It doesn't rev past 7000 rpm and I got it up to 95kmph and that took some time to get there. Also the clutch engages at 5000rpm. I think it may have a clutch kit in it

It's not shifting out all the way. Put the back end up on a stand and rev it up. The engiine clutch should bring the belt almost all the way out under high RPM.

Ok so I put the back end up and the belt went right to the edge of the primary like its supposed to. Speedo even went up to 180 kmph. Rpms were about 7000-7250. So I put it down and took it for a spin and it only hit 95 again..

Sounds like it won't shift with weight on it. One of the clutch springs may be bad.

Do you think it's a bad idea to keep driving it the way it is?

So I just got it back from the shop, he said its the crank, there's also a high pitch scream that comes from the clutch side when your driving it. Do you think it could be the crank or like crank bearings or something along those lines?
