How Much Snow is enough?

Last night my area was forecasted for 10''+ snow ....and we got 4'' which really made me mad because i was looking forward to taking the snowmobiles for a spin for the first time this winter.....is 4'' enough to ride on or is it just to shallow?

Enough to ride on your own property, but not enough for trails.

Correct. Any riding in the woods will hurt it.

Yep, laps around the house. However, we have "maybe" 3" and I see tracks on the trails. Also see a bunch of sand in those tracks too. There are some sleds that are really taking a beating.....
