Carburetor leaking fuel out of both over flow hoses

Cleaned carbs yesterday and put them back together. the sled ran perfect but I smelled gas and just thought it may have been left over from when I took them off and dump them out. rode it for 1 hour and realized I used half a tank of fuel so I looked into it today and as soon as I started it the 1 carburetor was leaking out of both overflow hoses....stuck float, blockage somewhere, choke cable not seated right? can someone offer some advice for a quick fix?

I would lean toward stuck or float or bad float Be sure no fluid is in floats If so they have hole and bad. Depending on carb style there should be a clip that holds the needle jet to the float. Best of luck I'm sure others will chime in soon

Stuck float or debris in the inlet needle/seat. Bad floats are pretty rare, they happen, but not often. Did the float get put back in correctly?

I opened it back up and sprayed carb cleaner thru out the entire thing and finished it off with a can of air duster just to be certain there was nothing stuck in there. It worked, no more overflow. I also learned that the spring & plunger on the end of choke cable comes of very easy. They both fell off under the motor taking me over and hour to find them..lol...thanks guys.

That dang belly pan is always the culprit to my missing anything. It's amazing how everything that goes there just disappears.

plus, the plunger is brass so you can't snatch it with a magnet. I never did find one that went to one of the carbs on my 650

I had the same thing happen to me a couple weeks ago. I hadn't tightened the needle and seat on one of the carbs.
