Need help with o ring ima noob!

Never replaced anything on the motor of my sled but I've done my motor on my truck so I know how to work on things so I'm not completely retarded but I'm almost positive my o ring is pinched but my question is do I just take the head bolts off and the o ring for the cylinder head will be right there or is there other things I need to do. To get to it?

There are two o-rings under the cover. They do leak from time to time. The cylinder base gaskets are also pretty suspect, if you change those out, get the metal ones and not the paper. If you have ANY coolant coming out of the pipe, that's significant and needs repair. Don't re-use the o-rings, even if they look ok.

I would also pull the recoil starter and look at the belt. The oil pump and water pump are driven by a small (and expensive!) belt off of a cog on the end of the MAG side of the crank. If that fails, you lose both cooling and oil. The belt should be changed every couple thousand miles or so.

Just ended up burping the sled and temp light has came on yet took it for a few rips thru the field and it ran good no temp light on coolant level holding steady. But still a little.confused on why the sled.shut down on me the other day my temp gauge and hand warmer lights were flickering so maybe I was never getting hot or its a thermostat issue? Gunna ride it for a bit longer Sunday and see what happens and if the issue keeps happening but any input wld be great

Pick the back of the sled up and run it and smell the exhaust! If it is sweet , drain the anti and then remove the head bolts!
