1981 El Tigre Heats up and bogs down

I have a 1981 Arctic Cat El Tigre. Last year it was havin the same issue of running for like 2 minutes and boging down. Then it shut off and i couldnt start it again. I replaced the External coil and CDI. Now I ran it for about a half an hour and it bogged down. I shut it off. Later it ran great, but i only ran it for a minute. Now I can't start it. I'm thinkin its the Magneto/Stater. I think it must be in the electrical system. Ive replaced 2/3 parts. I heard that coils open up after they heat up maybe that's why it runs good at first. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I would clean out the carbs. They cause more issues in sleds than antthing else and it sounds like they need to be cleaned anyway. Theres a nice thread in the how to's on how to clean the carbs step by step from taking them off to putting then on. Good luck!

The float level is suposed to shut off as it becomes 'Level' with the carb body!
As for the electrical issue, your in luck as there are individual bolt on coils! Thre is a single lighting coil on one side and 2 on the other, a low speed ign and a high!
