New Forum for Trailers?

I'm wondering what everyone thinks about asking for a new forum section for Towing / Trailers. There are a lot of folks that are modding their trailers, looking for advice, have tips on loading, towing, etc...

I was thinking that it might make trailer discussions easier to categorize and follow if there was a specific forum for it. What does everyone think? Should we ask the mods to add a forum for Trailers / Decks / Towing?

Yeah... Not active, though. There are only ten threads in there that have a post made this year!

I'm thinking of an area to talk about building ramps and decks, trailer repairs, how to rewire, how to fix brakes, how to load sleds in different size trailers, how to install a clamshell cover or salt shield on an open trailer... All that sort of stuff. Would you expect to find those sorts of posts in the Car/Truck/MC area?

See, now, you could track that repair process and put a "How To" in the new Decks, Trailers, and Towing forum.

Lol. I thought I was on a boat forum for a second and thought, "they already have a trailer section". And any forum suggestions need to be sent via a pm to the Mods or the thread would get closed. Then I realized I was on this forum. I guess I can't keep my forums straight.

Anyway, great idea. Also, issues like trailer maint. could be discussed. Hubs, spindles, wheel bearings, seals etc...... They could maybe add the Trailer Forum in the General Discussion Forums. Maybe it's me, but the forums that are further down the page get less exposure...... I know I don't venture much past Specific Snowmobile Forums. Most if not all my questions get answered there or in the General Sled Chat....

What about something like renaming that section to "Vehicles" and then making sub-forums for Tow Vehicles, Trailer, MCs, and Other Vehicle?

While we're on the topic of forum sections, (don't mean to hijack ) are the mods able to change the brand forum descriptions, to reflect newer popular sleds that have come out and are now common subjects of questions and discussion?

After looking at the Forum lists again, I no longer feel renaming the Car/Truck/MC section makes sense.

1) Folks currently "know" where those areas are and they don't get a lot of use.
2) They are categorized as "Other", meaning [to me] non-snowmobile related.

I would suggest a "Trailers and Towing" forum in the General section. This would let it apply to any and all, it isn't brand specific (although brand-specific SubForums could be added later if that made sense), and gets visibility for it near the top of the page.
