I understand your position but it is not like it is a no name brand. I did a little searching on this forum before posting and I didn't find this exact helmet however the posts that did mention other gmax helmets did not have bad reviews. It is DOT approved. Does that hold any water or can it still be junk even though it is DOT approved? I do appreciate the feedback.

gmax has great quality products, don't knock a product when you aren't familiar with them.
my helmet that came from the same factory their helmets do... is the best helmet i've ever had

Gmax is mid level OK (my wife has a 44S flip up pink one) but don't buy a helmet without trying it on for size. If the helmet is loose, you can be in for a rude awakening if you ever get to use it in a crash. It should fit as per manufacturer's instructions which usually states something like "snug fit to prevent moving around when you shake your head".
If you signed up just to plug your helmet then well done.

^^^^^ Very valid points on fitment.. I wasn't knocking the brand at all just saying that there is no way I would stick my head in a $100.00 e bay helmet... period.

After reading everything in the link, I would have no problem buying from them. I would try and find that helmet in your area and try it on, as others have said. Sizing can be different between manufacturers. And, some manufactures helmets fit better than others depending on the shape of your head. No lie. I bought a brand name helmet and my head got sore after 1/2 hour of riding. Went to an HJC and it feels great.

I got a pair from Babbits. Double lens and electric with the head cover for $109 last year and $119 this year!

I don't get why people associate quality with price, especially when the products have to go through testing to get certified like other helmets on the market. The GM68S is on clearance, which is why they are so cheap right now. It looks like the GM69S replaced it.
My helmet is over 10 years old, and man do I love it!

I have a Gmax Modular and an HJC non mod. Like them both. I would highly recommend a modular. Better money spent on that than the LED's. There is no problem with either brand, but they are the same size and fit very different. Find a shop with the brand that you are looking at and try them on. A major mistake that riders make is buying a helmet that doesn't fit right. Most buy too big. Like UF said, it shouldn't move around on your head.

Helmet sizes and fit differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, just like shoes.

The G max is a great helmet! I took a 75mph hit and it was fine, a small scratch is all!

KC, what model do you currently have? I've been looking at the GM54S.

I have three GM54S helmets that I bought for the family last year. Got them all through Smith Family Powersports as well (same as the eBay seller in the listed link).
Seller was good, shipped quick, and prices were reasonable. The one thing that I would say negative is that the helmets are noticeably heavier than a non-modular HJC that I have. I don't know if that's the result of being modular or if it's because HJC uses a lighter weight material.
Also - Kemo - might be selling on the GM54S helmets, virtually unused if you're interested. PM me with what size you're looking for. Mine are black.

If their sizing is the same as it was 10 years ago, I need a 3XL. PM me if you have something! Thanks

Nah... you're much smarter now... You'll need a 5XL.
The one I'll be selling is from the kids... Either M or L (FWIW: my 9yo boy, smaller frame, wears a L now).

The way they (Anyng Enterprise Co) manufacture(d) their helmets, it is a 3xl. New CKX helmets (unsure of manufacturer at this time) sizes theirs a lot smaller. CKX helmets used to be made by Anyng Enterprise Co., and that's what I have now, a CKX VGS.
I just bought a new double lens and breath guard. I should be good to go for some time, but I'm always interested in a deal!

Sooooooo ,, you would strap it back on ? or give it to a buddy to wear after a 70 mph hit ?
Because if you said yes to either you are a fool or don't care about who you put that lid on.
