10k mark
This is my 10,000th post on the Snowmobile forum. I have been a member here for 8 years plus, and it's been a LOT of typing, a LOT of reading, and a LOT of getting to know people from all over sledland.
I have to take a moment and just say thanks. This forum is a great place to learn and is probably the most polite place on the internet. We seldom see fighting, we seldom see people bashing. What we do see is a whole bunch of guys and gals that enjoy sledding and enjoy working on their ride. I like that we are able to help each other and appreciate the efforts people put in to help a stranger.
We get awesome posts on here from all over the world, experiencing some of the beauty that most of us will never see in our lifetime. We share in the accomplishments of others when the forum collectively helps someone get their sled on the snow. I'm glad to be a part of it.
Thanks for the first 10,000 posts, I'm looking forward to the next 10,000!
BCDan
I wonder how much money has been saved by the members here in trips to the shop? Now that would be an interesting statistic!

Congrats. I haven't spent much in repairs over the years. Of course, if there was adequate snow, and frequently, I'm sure that would drastically change for me
How long has the forum been here? I've seen it go through a few changes in my time invested in searching for a 106 x 15 track (near impossible to find).

Congrats Dan! From those of us in the 20000+ post club, thank you for ALL the help and guidance you've given our members! This forum started at the end of 2003, and we have some of the strongest sources of information I've seen on ANY forum since that time. It's an honor to have you on the team!

Congrats on the milestone, Dan.
I find it mildly amusing that you're citing how great of a place this is to learn, yet you're doling out heaps of extremely valuable and useful information to everyone else. I know that I've learned quite a bit (and have a LONNNNNNG way still to go) from your posts.
Thank you for making this such a great place to come and learn. It is from contributions from you and those like you that make this site as useful as it is.

If there had been a site like this when I started sledding, I'd probably have over a million posts instead of the measly number I have now.
It is a source of pride and great enjoyment to come here every day and either read or contribute to the ongoing builds or maintenance of the toys that we love so much.
Oh yeah, Congrats Dan on your 10K.
