'95 Mach 1 670 recoil starter problems

Hey guys so my sled has had some starter problems. the recoil starter is very hard to pull. we usually need 2 guys to help pull the starter. its almost like the starter locks up after you pull the first six inches of line or so and becomes beyond hard to pull. any idea why the recoil starter doesnt have a smooth draw to it and why its so heavy to pull?

put a tablespoon or two of 2cycle oil in the cylinders, or spray some wd40...made mine loosen up after it
had been sitting a few years.

Is it recoiling properly? If not, take off the reel. Sometimes the lips that hold the cord on the reel brake and thus the reel will jam tight and is imposible to pull.

The 670 engine has always been a bear to pull over, especially when cold. Do es it run well?

With the rope all the way out spray it with WD40!
But if you have carbon build up on the piston and head your compression could be over 150!
