I need some help
I recently got a small twin cylinder engine from snowmobile. I believe it's a rupp. I plan on putting it on a golf cart. I have it set in it and when trying to wire it I am lost when I came to the cd ignition box. It appears to have the number cu11 from kokusan denki. The only wires that arent connected to anything are a black with white stripe, a yellow and a white wire. I'm just trying to get this thing to run. Any help would be appreciated!

yellow is for lights, black is ground and the white is common to the cdi.

Ok, so black wire with white stripe goes to ground somewhere on engine and the white wire goes to ignition on ignition switch?

They go to a switch for run/stop.

Well I tried hooking the wires up the way u said. Didn't work. I put digital multimeter on the yellow and white and they ha .001 ohms to ground. The black with white stripe was like .885 to ground. I'm really confused on this and can't get spark no matter how I hook them up

How many groups of wires come out? If there are a pair of the same color wires those would be the lights (AC!)

I can't find a tag on the thing, guy I bought it from said its a 250. I see the rupp logo down by the starter but no numbers. All the other wires that are on the engine hookup to something on the engine. The only three I have pig tails from are those three I mentioned. the yellow comes from down around the crank somewhere along with the white. The black with white stripe comes out of the cdi if I remember correctly

The cyl base should have a number like 248cc or 336 or 439 this would be the engine size.
