Some mods?

I know I still have plenty of time but I want to get my new sled ready for this winter, it is a 1998 zr 600 efi. Here are a few questions I have. I am 6'3 so alot of these questions are about height.

1. I wanted to know if this PowerMadd | Wyoming, MN | Seat Wedge would work on my sled, I think so but does anyone have one of these on their sled, and does it fit well, etc.

2. I'll be doing a fair bit of agressive riding so I think I will want some risers, I want to be comfortable while standing but also be able to still sit and ride comfortably. Does anyone have a similar sled, and is a similar height and have any input about what a good riser height would be. I know I will need extensions for the cables but will I want a pivot style riser? Also if there is any specific riser setup you recommend.

3. Lastly I need to do a rebuild and was wondering if this kit would be good/ have all the stuff I need Top End Rebuild Piston Kit Fits: 1998 1999 2000 Arctic Cat ZR600 ZL600 EFI | eBay , or is there a better alternative you would recommend.

I have a powermadd 6" on my xp. Decent quality. Not nice, but not junk either. Can't comment on your specific situation with the sled though.

For the pistons: the "note"(s) in the items description are spot on. That kit sounds good.

I have a 680 kit! I can also hook you up with pistons and a gasket set! Pistons are $65 a full gasket set with seals is $45 and just a top end set is $35!
So with the seals is $175 or $165 w/o, plus shipping.

Thanks and I will keep that in mind kc, if anyone else can chime in on the above questions that would be appreciated, also another qquestion I have been having alot of mix responses about is springs. I want to get heavier duty springs because I can already tell I will need them, I have seen people specify many different part numbers and I don't know which one I need/want, I basically just want whatever will be best for my size (I'm like 250-275~?) and that will fit my sled.

Please do not tell me to rebuild my rear shock as it recently was and I plan on getting it done again and having it revalved. I do not have a problem with having to cut a thicker spring because it is from a 2-up, etc.

im not a small dude, i put heavy duty 2-up springs
on my gade first year i had it. they work great.
also installed some spring spacers on my formula.

but these sleds are set up for a 165lb rider.
i know 13yr olds that weigh more than that!!!

i havent worn anything 'medium' since 8th grade.

i think that snowgoer,am snow, and others should
have larger men ride their sleds

Would they be noticeably stiffer or is there others that are even stiffer? Also where could I find the part number for them. Should I just call the local cat dealer?

They are aftermarket pieces. There not going to make in omg difference but if you put bigger springs also it well be a good combo. Iy have to look for the part number i think you can order them from hi performance engineering

I think I decided to go with the 1704-290/291 spring they are almost the same as stock just thicker and longer, recommended place to buy oem parts from online? Also I have seen people talking about a aluminum adjuster instead of the plastic ones, where can I find those?

I am not sure what aftermarket parts you are refering to, I do not plan on dropping any money into performance parts for a sled this old. I am only looking to make the sled more comfortable for my size.

I have none sry i always buy my parts from hi,p,e make to replace the plastic tensioners like i said ill look tomorrow for the part number for those lencoo pieces since the ones on your sled probably show sighs of wear these lencoo one will help reduce the wear on the springs and mounting brackets

Oh ok you were talking about the tensioners, I was a bit confused on what you were refering too. I am interested in those so the part number would be appreciated.
