upgrade???

ok heres my rant.

ive been calling around to different doo dealers for prices
on pistons & such to freshen up my gade, every place
i call, they pause when i say 04 renegade, then say
'ITS TIME FOR AN UPGRADE DONT YA THINK'
are they serious?? just get me my prices so i can laugh.
what doo these dealers think?? were loaded and wana see
a new sled sit & not move cause of no snow winters??
its hard enough getting my 9yr old sled ready just to see it
sit unless i wana spend hundreds to drive 12hrs to snow.
im a diehard sledder, or i wouldnt be here every day.
just tired of people trying to spend my money for me.
i do that just fine with no help from some preppy dude,
who drives an escalade, making payments with our money!!!!

sorry guys, just had to vent for a minute.

I would just stare at them. Like they had a third eye. I'm thinking that would make them very nervous

I think it's because they're just so use to people breaking their xp's that they are a little off put when something different comes around. They suggest it because they're thinking about the futures market (even if they don't get the initial sale)

I would say that I have already upgraded, my 93 has a much better suspension now and it's paid for.

That's one of the nice things about this forum. You go over on HCS and if its not 5 years old or less its considered a piece of junk with no suspension

I'm gonna have to say that I generally agree with them. I just don't pride myself in being an ass about saying it.

Everybody remembers Thumper's saying

That is one reason that I never frequent that site, the other is the attitude that if you can not afford to buy new every couple of years then you should not be riding at all.

They probably say that because it's their job to try sell you a new sled, Renegade. No two ways about it; every place of business will try sell you more than you need or want!

I like the atmosphere of this forum too. I respect guys that ride "old junk" and have money in the bank. My stuff is far from new, but it's paid for and I can afford to fix it when it breaks. Snowmobiling doesn't have to be a rich man's sport, and I appreciate that attitude on here!

Yeah and regardless of how old a sled is they all break! Esspecially when you hit a tree, telephone pole, man hole or even a creek!

my first name is Art.

i go to hsc every day just for the classified section,
and to read all the people spending 14k on a new sled,
then another 5k to UPGRADE it. lol

im happy with what i have, heck i love riding my olympic
around town. if i stop at a pub in town, i know it will start
first crank, and im halfway down road before the hotrods
even fire!!!
cant wait to blast the fields around here on the yamaha
next year if it snows!!!

im the type of guy who would ride a moped!!! i could care
less what people say or think of me. just ask kccats bout the
bar in the UP, the first time we met!! he tells the story soo good.
