Best bang for the bucks is to make sure the clutching is spot on. A lot of performance is slowly lost as the belt and clutch components wear. You don't notice the loss over time, but when you get things back to spec, it's often like a new sled. Adding a clutch trail kit can also give you a more aggressive ride, as most stock settings are a compromise between top end and acceleration.

Erlandson makes some pretty efficient kits that work well. I have one in my 650, it made a lot of difference in how aggressive the sled shifted.

Goodwin Reformance (847) 872-4001. Greg can hook you up.
Have you started with a compression test at wide open throtle? You should have about 130-135#!

I perfer Greg he can give you the personal touch and with upgrades he can then mod the kit to fine tune for what you have!
Go back and redo the compression test @WOT!
