Wow, RJ. I have never seen Flat Rock with so little snow on the ground in February. It's insane!!! Same with the windmills in Montague... bare fields. What an unbelievable winter we've had this year.

So, how did the hopped-up Cat ride for you? I know you put some serious work into it. Hope it was worth it.

The old Cat handled the rough trails very well. I only seem to be needing one day to feel nearly normal again after the pounding I gave the sled. Still a little sore in the upper back/shoulder area.

Here's a link to the map/route. Nearly 130 miles for the day with a bit missing due to the phone battery dying.

Glad all that work on the skid paid off. Your back will thank you... tomorrow. Is the snow still too thin on the lower Hill... Redfield, Osceola, Constableville areas?

It was raining here this morning, but the mountains are supposed to get another 10+ inches. Looking at the forecast, it seems winter has decided to finally arrive here. 'Bout time!

Lower elevations had no snow and any open fields were bare or patchy [we stayed in the forests].

Yesterday I plowed nearly a foot of the 1" to 3" that was forcasted for my area. Gotta just love Lake Effect snow bands. Trails here still suck though because there is no base at all.

Where you are... you usually get an extra blessing of lake effect anyway. Better to be a foot of 1-3" than the other way around.

Where I live; it looks like old man winter has finally realized it's winter. I'm seeing snow in the forecasts daily for the next couple weeks. Took it long enough...

Too bad it will all be gone by end of today or tomorrow.
Rain and a south wind will see to that.
