Are the rails different on the RMK in 2012 than in the pro r and switchback models. Because I was beating up a 2012 switchback pro r last weekend and I was abusing it. It felt plenty strong to me.

They bend easy... wait until you hit something in the snow. Might have fixed them by now

I also read about Ski-Doo beltdrive in the rumor mill; wonder if they will go a similar route as Polaris with it.

IMHO, I would seriously wait to go buy a new post 2012 Polaris, since the majority of the parts are being made in Mexico now. From what I have come to learn, they are already having problems with some of the manufacturing quality of parts.
Don't get me wrong, I am a Polaris fan, actually looking to buy a Sportsman this summer if I can find one I like, (not neccassarily new), but I would wait to see how things go first with main part production being done out of country now.

Everybody's in the same boat these days, there's really no way around it if you want a new sled.

Ski-Doo is being conservative this year...new Rev-XM body panels and the twisting rear suspension, (which is cool) but no front suspension, engine or drivetrain changes!
