Yeah, BC Dan you are probably right. It did only take a few kicks every now and then to get the snow out of the front area. The better boards keep the bulk of the snow off the main part of the running boards so it's easy to clean out the front.
I will say, I don't understand why these sled companies don't build the sleds with this design (or didn't do it sooner), especially for mountain sleds. I know some brands do have the design now, but even looking at the 2013 Cats , the boards look like they will still pile up with snow.
