The Front 4wd is Shaft driven. Rear is chain so at least you are never walking home... Also there is a real good reason why they are only $500 less than predators.... its only 550lbs so its a really light sport 4wd quad hard to find anymore.

Not sure if 2wd even with paddles would be near this thing. When i hit 4wd in sand it LEAPS out of the sand leaves Zero tracks its pretty bad-ass.

I dunno mine does wheelies on command with 2 feet on the running boards. not that weak put your leg on the seat crap. LOL

and the 400 2 strokes are bad-ass quads. You can easily get 60hp out of that motor. Yeah for sure its "outdated" but not by much. The chain on mine is original from 1998

Well SS, I haven't really thought about where I'll be riding. I have a cabin near the dusty trails west of crivitz, so I'll be on them a lot. Otherwise we'll be camping in florence a lot and riding them. Any other place with a campground up north is fair game too.

Plan to pick up the kfx tonight if all goes well

The cam for my wheeler is shot. Dealer said $115 for a new stock one, but online I can find the HotCams stage 1 cam for about $125, so for ~$20 more after shipping, why not get a better cam to complement the high comp piston and pipe.

Gonna be set up for ice fishing. Should be good for it's purpose!

Most snowmobile problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars to the seat.

If your thinking you can't wheelie a sport quad without putting your foot on the rear grab bar your nuts...

My three wheeler was surprisingly hard to get up while sitting down. The only way I could do it was to shift hard between 1st and 2nd and it'd come up good that way. I'm pretty annoyed that my 4 wheeler will be delayed even further, but whatever. It should be a pretty good build to pick up some power. 12:1 compression piston, some intake work was done, pipe, and a cam.

I just got done rebuilding my old lawn mower. Honed out the cylinder and a new set of golden rings (or at least they cost that much). Really wanted it to start the first try but wasn't that lucky... Ended up putting the coil on upside down. Quick fix and she now runs like a champ!

The new cam is ordered. Probably won't be here till Friday or maybe into next week. But once it's in, I should be able to get it back together and running. Everything else is back together and ready to go.

Might be picking up two Yamaha Warriors if he still has them sometime this week. Ones ready to go and the other needs a few things like clutch lever and cable, key switch, and rear brake caliper. I'm thinkin the clutch is shot if the cable and lever is gone but thats cheap and easy. Either I'll get the one running and driving and keep it for a backup or sell it. We'll see.

Anybody know if they make shorty levers for a kfx that'll just bolt right in? Stock is just too long and id prefer if they angled out a little bit too

If anybody is looking to buy Indy parts let me know. I have tons of Indy trail, 500 efi, 650, and some xlt parts.

As for the shorty lever you may be better off chopping up the one you have. Or check on Dennis Kirk.

What do you guys run for helmets? I want to upgrade from my Polaris mx-style. Mom let it roll down the stairs when I was putting my snow stuff on once and it's a couple years old now. I'd love a Fox V3, but $350 isn't very easy to justify on something I'll use when I ride on the weekends and I won't be putting 40 feet of air underneath me anytime soon. Goggles too. I have some cheap $30 ones that did the job, but can get uncomfortable in the summer.

Head to a local dealer and see if they can get you one. Trust me, a shorty lever for the clutch side will get really old really fast! You want the extra leverage especially in those times of shifting a lot. Your hand will stop working if you have a shorty lever. haha

Dude check out these helmets, best for the price IMO!! I have a scorpion VX14 right now that is a few years old and it's the best snow X helmet I've ever seen. The Breath box is awesome! I'm looking at picking up a new MX helmet for this summer. http://shopping.scorpionusa.com/F4BD...5BDB72A833321E

I just got a fox v2. Its essentially a v1 thats a bit lighter and removable liner. I really like it so far, but idk how itll work in winter. I also like my scott hustles that were like $60.

As for shorties, I think it would be nice. The way the bars and guards are set up, I can't use the whole thing anyway. I do see what your saying though.

On a side note, I just went by the hartford exit on the way back from six flags. Lol.

I'm not worried about winter performance. I want to get a dirt helmet for summer and a full face for snow. I found a Scorpion helmet I liked, but I need a dang job. Haha. This quad has drained me out. It's frustrating calling three places and getting nothing. One place I've called 5 times in under a week, and each time I can never get ahold of the person I need to. The other two are a little more promising I guess.

Ya I was just giving an example that I like the helmets they offer and mine has held up great. I'm assuming you were on 41 Alex? My house is just down the road about 6 or 7 miles.
