I rode a little bit tonight. The ZRT is out of gas and I didn't want to spend the money and time to go get gas for it, so I rode the Cougar just a little bit. The snow around my house has all been blown away though, so even though it started off as almost 4'' it's now about 2.

2"-5" in the forecast for me. The weatherman specifically said it wouldn't be enough to get the snowmobiles out though. I feel like he was talking directly to me.

Hopefully it will be similar to the Jan 1st storm, those 12" gave me a lot of riding.

Headed up to eagle river again this weekend. Hopefully it pans out. I guess they got a decent amount of snow. Hard to be "worse" conditions than last week.

Been staying in the teens here at night, and 30's during the day. The 4-6" that fell last week is mostly still around. I'm heading up to the mountains today to see if the reports of 25-30" on the ground are true. Might get to put some miles on the sleds... hopefully...

Oh, yeah... SD is c-c-c-c-c-c-cold, isn't it?

Stays in the 20's and 30's pretty much all winter here. I have never seen negative temps here, and it's only dipped to single-digits a handful of times. I'm kinda liking it in UT! The strange thing here is; it is so dry that even when the temps are in the mid to upper 30's, the snow does NOT seem to melt (unless it's on blacktop or something else the sun can really warm up). We've had the same 4-6" on the ground here for over a week... day temps have been in middle 30's, nights in the teens...

I'm originally from upstate NY, so I'm used to wide temperature swings... from 40's to -15 or colder... and sometimes all withing 24 hours.

We can honestly go from coats and the heater on in the vehicle in the morning, to when we come home for dinner (11:40-ish) we lose the coats and have the windows down.

Hmmm... for some reason I thought SD was always cold.

Well, no joy in the snow today. Didn't even take them off the trailer. Not enough snow - roads were mostly bare, and fields looked like mostly snirt. I would have stayed all day if I had an ATV!

'87 Cougar 500 fan for $350. Hasn't ran in two years, but everything is in decent shape according to the guy who emailed me. He's 25 minutes away. It would be a perfect ice fishing sled. Fan cooled, I'm sure the clutch engages at a low rpm, etc. I think his price is pretty high, but I won't try talk him down until I go look at it. Do you guys think it's worth a look? I would test compression and give it a good inspection before I buy it.

If the body and seat are in nice shape it could be worth it depends on what it will take to get it running
