Question Xcr 120

Alright so I've got a 2000 XCR 120 and I have a question about it, The things seems to start up fine and run good but doesn't idle worth a shi*. I can get it started up and running and when i let off the throttle it'll idle for about 15-30 seconds and then die out unless i pull the choke out and give a little throttle. I have pulled the carb out and cleaned throughly! I know they are a pain to get right because adjustments are so small at at time. But any time i adjust anything it doesnt seem to make a difference. Any tips or suggestions please help! Thanks in advance!!!

Take the carb out and clean the pilot jet circuit again. You may need to take some telephone wire (something small and semi rigid but not to abrasive) through the passage to get the extra funk out. Letting it set in some cleaner over night will help too.

You can tell that is your problem because by choking it your just adding more fuel... and hitting the gas just adds more air for the combustion process.

Thanks xtremecat. Ill pull the carb back out and clean and soak it again. Why the heck did they make them so hard to work on. I actually found it easier to drill out the 8 rivets and get the carb that way other than pull motor out? Thanks again!
