Snowmobile license in Ontario.

just need a bit of info from any people from Ontario here.

as many of you may know, the drive-test strike is still going on.. and i didnt get my G-1 in time. so now im stuck with having to get my sled license. i just need to know one thing. do you have to get your license in the district you'll be riding in? Im in district 8 and all the courses are full until Dec.28. and if that one is full then i have to wait ill january. the season will be half over by the time i get a license. so if i live in D8 could i go to D4 or another to get my license? i just want to be able to get it before christmas...

wow what do they have going on up there to drive a sled... your regular drivers lic. doesnt work.. thats odd to have more than one unless it is just another endorsement on to your regular lic.

The sled license is for someone that doesnt have a drivers permit, by completing the course they issue a snowmobile permit. It doesnt matter where you take the course, same goes for your drivers permit

Your regular license does work up here but since there is a strike SnowPro can't get it. But SnowPro are you sure you cant get your g1, because i no the drivers strike is on for g2 testing and here in mississauga you cant get your g1, but for some reason I have buddies who went to brampton and toronto and could get it there, so check into it. I was lucky and got it before so I am not to up on whats going on.

As far as I know, the sled license is a provincial licence and applies to the whole province. Make sure to check if it is valid outside the province though.

thanks for all the help guys! i doubt i'll be doing any riding outside of ontario so im good for that. but if i can go to a different district to get it then thats great! looks like ill be getting my sled license in a few days

@-SColum- yea it's pretty crappy being 17 and not having a g1. but i've been waiting for this drive-strike to end so i can get it. heard on the radio the other day that 200,000 people or more are waiting for a test. alot of people!

Oh I no its ridiculous, i've heard there not going to be back until February. With all the booked drivers tests being pushed back they are going to be booked solid for so long!
