Wisconsin DUI laws

What is the current law for getting a DUI/OWI in wisconsin. I heard last year it was just a fine and didn't count against your license but they changed it this year so it does. Not that I advocate drinking and driving but I do enjoy a few beers now and then and wanted some clarification on the laws.

Hmmm, no expert here on this matter but DUI seems to be a major motor vehicle violation. I can't imagine that it would not count against your license. Enjoy your beers after your done riding.

From what I understand here in Michigan, you can't even cut your grass with your rider, while drinking, and not get a moving violation. Best bet... wait till your done.

It's only a fine and no jail time if it is a 4th degree in MN.... Anything else, you are going to jail... and even with a 4th degree I sent some to jail for having diarrhea of the mouth.

i know in wi that dui is not limited to just the basic vehicles... i heard of people getting a ticket for riding a bike while under the influence. either enjoy them after, or take it lightly is the best bet! specially if you are still legally underage lol! cough cough

You can register your sled with a dui? I know a few ppl that drive unregistered machines that have a dui... be nice to get them out on the trails.

How about you just stop drinking and driving? That would sure help your ability to register your sleds.........in SD if you get 3 DUI's they throw you in jail for a stay.......

DUIs that you get while on your sled dont count towards your driver's licence. They talked about implementing that last year, but it got shot down; mostly because no one wanted it tied to their driver's licence and because they said it would be too much of a hassle (big surprise in Wisconsin...LOL).
My advice would be to hold off of cracking open a beer until the sleds are put away for the day. Alchohol and sleds are a dangerous mix.

When you say Wisconsin, you said it all.
