Torsion Bars

I am going to try to heat up and rebend my torsion bars this weekend. They are 77 and going to bend to 90. Has anyone else done this with success?? I have heard it can be done. the bars are 407's so they should hold as long as i heat on the inside of the bend and bend around 1 1/2 round.

Just remember when you heat them hot enough to bend, they will be brittle and more prone to cracking afterward.

Quench them after bending to help keep the temper (strength).
Keep them in until it no longer sizzles.
Oil works best, but water in you do not have enough oil.
