maine sled?

My buddy asked me to go to Maine with him for a few days riding this winter. I have a 1997 Skidoo Formula S (380 rotax). Am I gonna blown my engine up or do you think my sled can handle a few hard days riding?? Last year was my 1st year with a sled and I rode around fields near home. Any advice?

Should be fine. On the long stretches, vary the throttle so the RPM's change once in a while. Even if you can't keep up in some areas, if they can't wait for you, they are not good snowmobilers.

You should deffinately be fine! I used to ride the trails on a 340 and a 370. Where abouts are you going to be riding? I live in Maine!

Coupla things I tell my new riders. Just keep an eye on the guy behind you! If they aren't there slow down and or stop! If they don't show go back! This works! ride at what ever speed you are comfortable! From the lead man on back!

You should be fine. The trails in that area are like highways, so im sure you will want more speed from the sled. I dont see any reason as to why you would blow your sled up. What time of year you going up there?

You will be fine. I had a 380 for a very long time that I would always pin the throttle on on lakes and straightaways in the trails. Nothing ever wrong at all with the engine, I loved it, but I did give it breaks by slowing up and waiting at junctions. Treat a sled with respect and they will return the offer!
