Question 1999 polaris xcr 440

I am buying a 1999 polaris xcr 440 in good shape with 3700miles on it for 1800 bucks is that a good deal and were they good sleds?

Yes they were good sleds but they are very finicky jetting wise. Sun goes under the clouds and you will be rejetting. For the price listed at, it better be nearly show room condition.

It is a very finicky sled, a tempaflow really helps these sleds. They like to be run hard. From 97+ the 440's need at a bare minimun 5000 rpm engagment, if not they will fall on their face. If you aggressivly clutch them then the jetting in even more finicky.
