Question Amsoil in skidoo

Hello, I just purchased a new 2009 Ski-doo Mxz trail. I am thinking about having the dealer put aimsoil in the sled when they get it ready for me. My question is this a bad idea, or should i just run ski doo's oil in it. I always have used amsoil in my other sleds and loved it. Sense this is a new sled, i just wanted to see if this still would be a good choice to do.
LETS PRAY FOR SNOW!!!!

Good stuff.

I use it in my 2001 MXZ 440 , thats the race model and its pre-mix. I have no complaints. Based on what I heard alot of dealerships will run the regular Ski-Doo oil through on the first tank. I think its a liability thing. Talk to the mech... not the salesman. Just switch over ,at the worst you might foul the plugs.

You are not going to foul plugs by switching to AMSOIL. Your sled will come set-up from the stealer with Doo oil in it. Just run it down so the oil tank is nearly empty (your oil light comes on) then switch over to AMSOIL. AMSOIL will not void your warranty, as it has nearly the same specifications as Doo oil. It's the specifications of the oil that will void your warranty, not the label on the bottle. I run AMSOIL HP Injector in all my sleds, have for years, without any trouble whatsoever. Interceptor is good oil too, just more expensive and your sled won't run any better on it than Injector. Whatever you do, DO NOT run Dominator in your sled, unless you want to rebuild it every season! Dominator is a racing oil and does not have the corrosion-reducing agents that the other two oils have.

On another forum there is a huge folowing of dominator guys who swear it is better than hp and interceptor. A few of them are amsoil dealers and engine builders. It has greater film strength and really sticks to the crank. Better than interceptor which has less film strength.

I've used both Dominator and Interceptor. I can't say I like one over the other, but I do think Dominator is stickier on the crank.

Here is a quote from the product web site.

Quote:
DOMINATOR is recommended for use in high performance stock or modified two-cycle motors, including air or liquid cooled snowmobiles, personal watercraft, motorcycles (Moto X), ATVs, go-carts and outboard motors*. Good for use with coated or non-coated pistons, high-octane racing fuels and exhaust power valves. Compatible with most other two-cycle oils, however, mixing oils should be minimized.
HP is a good oil, I sell a lot of it to snowmobilers but the biggest mover is Interceptor. I have customer who runs a rental business and most all his rentals are Ski-doo's. Since switching to AMSOIL 2 yrs back, he has not had one engine related problem. He provides the oil and insists they use what he provides.

I been a AMSOIL Dealer for many years..

I, too, am a dealer. Have been for 5 years. I also am an engine builder for a professional motocross racer, who runs AMSOIL products exclusively. The ONLY oil I put in his two-strokes is Dominator, because the motors get rebuilt regularly. I run Interceptor in mine, but mine doesn't get rebuilt as often as his does. Do what you want. I'm not looking for a sale here, just offering my opinion.
