plastic ski alignment and slight mod

So i have this sparkling brand new sled to me 96 skidoo formula sls and i got some plastic skis for it with spindles. The spindles belong to a 2000 formula and are 3/8 longer than the 96 stock. I was going to fabricate a plastic bushing to make up the difference between the steering arm and shaft. Does anyone see why i could not do this? How do i align these so i'm running straight? Do i cock them in a touch?

Are your stock spindles the same width where the ski's bolt? Then leave your spindles alone! If yours are narrower then just space the bolts as to push the skis out! As for toe in, I set mine with like an eigth in from front to back of the skis!

The mounting part to the skies are totally different so i need to change the spindles. I could change the rubber out instead but than the rubber part would have no bolt holding it still and would probably fall out. minor technicallity. do you think that spacer between the steering arm and the shaft would be ok?
