Cheap Modular Helmets
I cant wear a closed face helmet due to glasses fogging, But like to try a flip type modular with electric shield.
found a Zuess 508WS helmet on the web, but cant get a reply from them, dont want to order one and get stuck with a POS ..
has anyone got one of these things? they advertize them at $112.00 with electric shield.

I have that helmet with the electric shield. Very comfortable, and quite warm.

Buy a $100 helmet if you have a $100 head. The only thing a helmet is designed for is to protect your brain. Buy the best helmet you can afford. Skimp on gloves or a coat, but for God's sake, don't skimp on a brain bucket!

I agree with CNY500SS, You dont want to skimp on a helmet. I have the 2010 edition of the GMAXX helmet, with dual lense. I paid $100, for it in the off season. But it was originally $175 dollars. Only problem I had was at -10 degrees F, It started to fog up, but im fixing that with a electric shield for 80 Dollars.

Signs
I borrowed a Modular w Heated shield last yr in Febuary at our annual Poker ralley, itwas 30 f below, glasses didnt fog.
so tell me this, if the $100 helmet is not good, why do the overpriced rip off dealers up here want $299 for exact same sh-t,same make, same model as on line for $100.00
I have been wearing a 40 yr old Bell open face helmet since 1969,,same helmet..over 100 different sleds and bikes with that helmet.have ate the pavement twice, broke neck, back, arms, legs, still alive .used that same helmet to professionally Moto Cross in 73 and 74. broke some more bones there.still alive, same helmet..have sold hundreds of new helmets when I had Honda dealership from 75 to 89..tryed lots ,Still go back to the old helmet..
BUT ,now have 150 hp snowmobile, and havnt slowed down yet.so better get a better POS helmet. Right guys?

I have been using modular helmet for more than 4 years, and my glasses only fog when I stop unless I open the lens. This is mainly due to me being so warm that the heat inside the helmet causes the fogging.
Never have a problem once I am moving again though.

My wife and I both have Gmax 44 modulars with the exterior sunshield and heated shields. Absolutely love them. They cost us 199 each with heated shields (Regina Sask. Canada). Regular 289, but on sale at the snowmobile show.
The exterior sun shade is way better than the ones that slide down inside your main shield since the ones inside fog up when used because they are not heated like your shield. The exterior one never fogs up.
One hand releases the modular face section and you can even choose cheek pads that fit your face (just snap in). The entire interior is removeable for washing also.
Just my 2cents.
