Small Dent In Exhaust

I have a 2000 Yamaha vmax and there is a small dent in the exhaust, about 6 or 7 inches after the y pipe. It's probably about the size of a golf ball or a little smaller but my friend told me that I would lose about 5 horsepower. That seems kind of a lot... I was hoping it wouldn't be that much. Do you agree with my friend? How much power do you think I will lose?

Will I be noticing even the littlest horsepower loss?

I would say you wouldn't feel a decrease in power. Maybe if the dent was bigger, and you had a lot more, I could see it happening. I don't think its an issue.

you'll want to get that dent out of the pipe,a resignating chamber is what that actually is and a dent will have ill affects on performance.you will loose performance because the the resignating chamber is not at the manufacturer specifications.whats next a partially scored piston

Simply spot weld a pin into the dent, heat it with torch then use a slide hamer to pop it out! If it was a set of high perf after market pipes, yes you'd be able to feel the difference!
