Trailer deck protection questions???

I have just purchased a trailer with a virgin floor. Please make suggestions on ski guides and stud protection. I want this to be an informed decision.

I have a buddy that did Line-X on his 4-place enclosed. It works well, but it's spendy.

Strips of used truck bedliners make good ski guides; not sure what you would use to protect the deck from studs...

I recently bought a trailer with 3/4 " rubber to protect from studs. It also has ski glides bought I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. I am curious as to how well they work for loading and unloading.

Cut up bedliner for skis, old track for the studs to ride on.

I used an old track on my deck for the stud issue, and a couple of 1x3"s spaced an inch and a half apart to run the skis up on. My trailer deck is good as new.

I just layed down some 2x8's for the studs and it has held up fine, it was cheap and easy.

If you can't find an old track (with out inside drive lugs), go to a farm store and get the rubber cattle mats and cut to size.

I just went to Farm and Fleet and bought a button rubber mat for $41.99. This will be plenty to do a double trailer. I believe this will work great. Thanks for the tip RJ.

I use SuperGuides for the ski's to run on. They have grips so you can walk safely on them, allow drainage under them when it rains in summer, and cost about $100 per sled.

I don't have studs on my tracks, so I just used pieces of an old track for my tracks to get traction on when loading.

I used an old bed liner for the ski runners and a bed mat for the track traction area. Works very well.
