Talking pro x 440

thinking about buying a 2002 polaris pro x 440. the guy who is selling it wants $1700. Is that alot? Is this a good reliable sled? Is is fast? Any help would be apreciated because i am 16 and buying my first sled, because I am moving up from a 87 yamaha enticer 340.

if it is a fan thats to expensive i think, and the fans had a problem burning down in that year becaus the timing was off or something. and polaris refused to recall them, thats why you see so many of them for sale that say only needs a piston!

Id pass on that, look for pretty much any other model polaris..

o if its liquid cooled make sure that its got low comp heads on it, if it does. thats a ok deal but still not great, offer him 1500 or lower for sure.

does it matter if it has low compression heads on it? Whats the difference?

if it has high comp heads you will need to run 110 octane low comp heads would need 92
