Trade?

I'm in talks with a guy about trading my 04 polaris xc sp 800 (121") for his 02 skidoo summit 800 (144"). The polaris has an aftermarket can, hood, and a few other engine upgrades. The doo' has an aftermarket seat and windshield. The polaris has a small problem with the steering column, but it's a pretty easy and cheap fix for someone who has the proper space and tools.

Any thoughts? I had planned on selling the Polaris for 4000 and his was for sale for the same price. Are these prices accurate? Is this trade unfair for either one of us?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

If you are both happy afterward, then it is a fair trade.

I do have to agree with you, If I'm happy after the trade, I was happy with the trade. But I'd just like a second opinion. I don't want to lose out, value wise.

if the mileage is similar and the skidoo has any necessary upgrades that skidoo called for (in 03 they had a ring uprgrade not sure bout 02) i'd say you have a fair deal on your hands.

Try to get him to add a little cash maybe? Just to make you have that little incentive? hehe

A cash incentive sounds great, ahah. I'd love it but I doubt I could get that out of him. My sled has a problem with the steering. Not a real complicated fix, I just don't have the space and tools to fix it. Im going to look at it tomorrow night! I can't wait!
