"Touring" sleds

Can anyone share with me their experience using a "touring" sled (in my case a new Yamaha RS Venture GT) on trails? Crazy talk?

Thanks,

Tim

hi yeah i rode a 1995 arctic cat bearcat 340 for all of last year and most of this year and i have to say it was the ULTIMATE touring/utility sled. It could go ANYWHERE and i could go three days on a full tank of gas... I would recommend on the those. Now i ride a 2000 RMK 800 and it's pretty nice on the trails, it has better shocks so it's not quite as bumpy. I think a 2000-01-02 RMK 440 or 500 Indy Trail would be great. A 144" track would et you anywhere, and you can still do wheelies! But whatever you think is best.

That is where this type of sled shines - on trails. I have a few older touring sleds and both do very well on trails. The suspensions are geared to provide good bump damping and a smoother ride than any other type of sled.

More like anchors in deep snow.

Ok I can tell you first hand from just this weekend! I put over 300 miles on my 04 Pantera! Yes they make Great trail sleds! I put it threw it's paces from off trail, threw the woods. deep powder, ans high speed lakes!
Deep snow is not an issue with a long track, super comfy on trails and handleslike a dream!
