help with oil pump....

does anyone know were the lever on the oil pump that is connected to the throttle should be sitting...........it was off and all the way down touching the bass plate.........?i put it back on but not confadent about how high or low it screwd on..............polaris indy trail 1996 touring.

it might not be the same on your sled, but on mine there is a mark or line on the lever and another on the base that must line up at idle.

There should be only one way to put it backon, don't forget the spring Too! Then line up the marks at wide open throtle!

what would happen if its in the rong place............what would it affect.......because i said f-it yesterday and just put it back on but i noticed that if you move the lever up and down you can feel were it wants to stop.....im assuming thats were it goes??????
