Tug Hill Vs. Old Forge

Hey Folks,
I've been to the Tug Hill area twice now and am thinking of heading to Old Forge. Having never been there I don't know anything about it. So my question is whether or not it's worth it to head to Old Forge and pay for a trail pass, or is it no better then Tug Hill. I've heard things about grooming but am not sure what is true. Also if it is worth it, a good place to stay would be helpful as well. I know this in the wrong forum by the way but i was getting no views in the right forum so i figured i try here.

Thanks for any info in advance...

If you want to ride around in circles buy the trail pass. They have about 50 miles of trails you need the pass for. I did it once, not worth it to me. Tugg hill is a nother story, i haven't riden there in 7 years now to many lunatics! I ride all the way around the hill and east of there.

Old forge is a nice place to go if you have the money. Its quite pricy and fyi there is crazy people all over new york state on the week ends. i live in ny and alot of the crazy riders are from nj and ny also they are not used to the condtions and dont really know how to ride. Im not saying that all the people for nj and ny are like that but 90% of the people that i have seen ride the trails up here from there have little knowledge about the power of the new sleds.
