Could you give me a hand? (what sled)

Its an old qusetion but I am new and need some help.

So I am a 16 year old that is 5 foot 10 and 255lb. I have not owned my own sled before. I have ridden alot of sled before thoe. Such as a M8, M7, Apex, Nytro, M6, Indy 500, and many more.

Here in Prince George we have extreamly long winters and some of the best mountain ridding in Canada. Last year I got to take my friends 2001 Mountain Cat 600 with a 144 out to some sweet spots near Mackenzie. It was simply amazing. I ski and dirt bike alot and it does not compare. Now all I want to do this winter is sled.

For this winter I am going to bum rides because money is tight right now. So I am going to save all winter, spring, summer, and early fall so I can buy a sled next winter for sure.

So here are the sleds I get to pick from
2008 Polaris Turbo Switchback
Black (Lightning graphics)
2001 Polaris Indy 800 RMK
Black
2001 Polaris Indy 800 RMK
Black
2003 Polaris 800 RMK
Blue/Gray
2003 Polaris 700 RMK
Blue/Gray
2003 Polaris 800 RMK
Black/Red
2005 Polaris 900 RMK 159
Indy Red
2005 Polaris 900 RMK 166 50th Anniversary Edition
50th Midnight Blue
2005 Polaris 900 RMK 166 50th Anniversary Edition
50th Midnight Blue
2005 Polaris 900 RMK 159
Indy Red
2005 Polaris 900 RMK 166 50th Anniversary Edition
50th Midnight Blue
2006 Polaris 900 RMK 166
Indy Red

All with different miles but nothing over mabe 1500 and between $5295 and $6495.

I would like a 2005 or 2006 RMK 900 because of the newer chassi but I hear they are very un-reliable but at the same time a great sled. Some say it just takes proper set-up so its very mixer review.

As for the older RMK 700-800s they are great just not top choice.

The Turbo 4 stroke look good as well but I think it will not make a great mountain sled.

So tell me what you think.

THANKS!!!

Just thought more people might visit this part of the forum.

As for the amount of money I have I could spen $14,000 next year but I could spen about $7,000 this year so I can start ridding sooner. With all the snow that came today its going to be hard to wait till next year.

As for a 900 or 800 scaring the crap out of me I rode a 2009 800 Dragon today and felt it was about the right size. Plus I am used to going 100+ MPH in the dirt and thats scary. Snow is a little bit more forgiving.

Thanks for the help.

I don't know if the internet can take another year of you asking what sled to buy.

Take what you got and go buy a beater. You don't have to have the greatest sled on earth to have fun.
