What oil mixture ration should I use?

I just got a 1978 Arctic Cat Lynx. The prev owner said he'd mix the oil 50:1 and add a little extra oil. What do you think I should do?

Note: I live in Canada and I don't think Amsoil is available here. I already bought a bottle of Castrol oil which is supposedly good for fuel injection systems and for mixing in gas. I paid approx $6.99.

Thank you.

With today's oils you would be fine at 50:1.

When you say Wisconsin, you said it all.
