What is and what are the bank points for? How do you get them?

You can deposit your points into your Bank, and they collect interest every couple of days. Go to the estore menu on the right, go to Bank, and then type in the amount you want to deposit and hit Deposit. You can use the points to buy different things on here. That is my basic understanding of the system, not sure of all of the particulars.
