Can anyone recommend a good helmet?

I rode for about 50 miles this morning and I nearly froze my face off. It was about -29 C and my shield was constanly freezing up and my face froze from cold air going through the vents and having to lift my shield all the time to see.

Any suggested models?

I have a few helmets for sale.
Many people under estimate the warmth of an open face mx helmet.

Yup, get a good balaclava and good goggles and you will stay toasty and fog free.

I have a nolan helmet, its not to bad. HJC make good affordable helmets.

hey i ride in cold temps as well , and i have a snow cross helmet ! but what keeps my face from freezing and head is a baclava (dont know how to spell ) its something that goes over your head and covers almost all your face except your eyes . its like what the ninjas wear :P . i own a fxr one and its designed to fit under your helmet. then i strap on a pair of goggles and your ready for the races :P:P

For those of you who have never ridden on Northern Ontario in minus 29 degrees, I gotta say there probably isn't a helmet on this planet that's going to keep you "toasty". It's minus 29 before the wind-chill while riding. The wind-chill probably drops it to more like -40. I ride with MX style, with balaclava and goggles and it's good, but not that good!

I think the mx helmets are better and warmer but like jaded said notings that warm. Unless you get a balaclava with heaters that plug in like your face shield. hmmmm
