adjusting 2ndary clutch for belt.

i posted a thread about a week ago about this but never got no replys .. does anyone know how to adjust the secondary clutch right ?? just tell me is this wrong : when you get a new belt the flat top of it should be flush with the drive pully edges . and then you put the adjust things on the outside which is numbered from 0 to 6 back to 0. as the belt stretches you eventuallly move it up a notch each time towards the 6?

What sled? On Cat the belt rides out of the secondary an 1/8 to 3/16th! To adjust you remove shims from between the sheves! Keep removing till it starts to squeel, then put a thin one back! They do make a belt adjuster that can be adjusted in the feild as the belt wears!
