first run of my 79 El Tigre 5000 F/A

WOW!!! This sled is unbelievable fast.It doesn't do to well on roads with not alot of snow, but throw it in the grass or field and HOLY CRAP.You better hold on.I have been restoring this sled for the last couple months and let me tell you it was all worth it last night.I was only out for maybe 15 mins, but what fun.I have to get use to it for this is my first sled.I don't know if I like the metal cleats on the track. When I start off it spins like there is just so much power, but when it digs in Hold on.I just wanted to share this with all of you because of all the help all of you had for me to get this sled going.Thank you so much!Your help was felt last night!!Drive safe everybody.

Great times!!
Now you just need to add some traction claws to that Cat to make it more agile and sure footed.

Look up "Ice Claws" in one of the online catalogs, usually under traction products or in the section with cleats.
I tried to find it for you, but no luck. The ones that I am thinking of are a square with points on each corner and can be attached directly in the cleat with either a rivet or bolt.

I always used 1 on a cleat, skip every other one and only on the outside edge.

Rj,I checked my track out it does have the claws on already that you were talking about. They are just that worn down. There are no more spikes on the corner.I am going to replace them.Do you know how many approximately I would need for this.I am guessing maybe around 96?Thanks
