Adding clutch weight?

Anyone try to add a nut and bolt to the primary clutch weights to get it to engage sooner? Is there any reason why not to try this? My stock weights have a rivet in them, and an open hole,I was thinking about putting a small bolt and lockwasher through the other hole in the weight.(Yamaha) The stock clutch engages to high right now,I know the spring is stock, and I believe the weights are also, but it is engaging to late and has to carry to high an Rpm to stay engaged while just cruising. It pulls one hard holeshot though!

Why not get the rivets instead? They are exactly the same weight and won't unbalance the clutch when applied to the weights correctly...
