Radar Runs

I'm heading up to the radar runs in McGregor this weekend. Anyone have any good tips on clutching? I'm running my 2004 F7. I've never ran on hte gun before so it should be interesting to see what she does.

Is it going to be on Ice or in a field? Usually they run on ice and studs are the biggest thing! I'm heading to St Germain next weekend myself, and I'm very concerened about my picks, as well as clutching! I hope to be able to take my sled to Greg Goodwin's Dynoe before I head up, He can do wonders with clutching as well as jetting!

Too bad there is no class that our old Wildcats could run in! A fully modded Wildcat 700 puts out about the same HP as a stock F7!
What's the point of even trying? Too old to compete with the new sleds, too new to compete in vintage.

Now if they let the middle aged sleds run mod against the new
stock sleds- that would be fun!

Why wouldn't they!!! A 700 mod is a 700 mod there is no year rule! But a fully mod Wild Cat like a 780 and all ported and piped would still be alot heavier than an F7 modded to 800 and all!
You could run it but not likly as competetively!

old school 92 wildcat at the radar runs

Well, I've got another excuse not to run St. Germain- I've got to
work that weekend. Would like to get it set up and just see what it will do, though. There are some radar runs closer to Green Bay.
St Germain is just 750 feet, according to the web site- Thats pretty short-almost a drag race length. With a heavy machine- would like some more length to even out the weight handicap the old sleds have.

Most runs I have been to are 1/8 mile. I went as far as taking off my windshield and gained maybe 1 mph.
