injector oil

Okay, a couple of people have been helpful in the yamaha forum for injector oil questions. I currently am using yamalube 2-W for my 95 phazer 480 and vmax600. This appears to be more for watercraft. I don't seem to be having any problems. It appears from researching online that yamalube 2-S is better injector oil for varying temperature ranges which would be better for snowmobiles. It is semi synthetic like the 2-W. Can these be mixed together or should I drain the oil? Is there a way to drain it without having to take things apart if I shouldn't mix it? Thank you for the two people in the yamaha forum that responded.

My buddy used that 2-W once and it seemed like it was thicker and caused him to foul plugs. I think if you just start to use the 2-S and let the 2-W just work it's way out you'll be fine. That's what he did and everything seemed fine, he just had to carry some extra plugs with him for a couple of rides.

Run the tank down as empty as you can get it. Then use a suction gun to empty the tank the rest of the way and then add the new oil.
