Cool sway bar

how important is the sway bar on 1998 polaris xlt ltd, what does it do and can i take it out, mine is mess up.

The sway bar couples each side of the front suspension together. By removing it, you will get more body roll on the corners. Many of the FireCat guys remove them.
Try it....see how it works for you!

Unless you're really blasting through corners, you won't notice it missing. Your suspension will react better to bumps on one ski.

I ran my EXT for years without one, and I think it works better in deep snow without it. They definitely help if you're hauling ass in twistys on hard pack.
