Quick Coil Question

Can a coil slowly die out? I seem to have one that works sometimes and not others. I have plenty of voltage infront of the coil coming out of the bix to the coil. But I have 2 separate coils that seem not to want to work. How do I test the coil itself?

I have no spark from either with any consistancy so I am assuming this is my idling problem as well as my starting issue.

AHH I cant wait till this sled is gone!

Coils are cheap, replace them both.

Make sure your switches aren't causing the problem intermittantly.

Where would I check the grounds? I have power in the line from the CDI to the coil but no consistancy through the coil.

I have power every time to the line through the CDI which would lead me to believe that its just bad coils? Maybe im slow lol.

I was running the 440 coil on the 500 CDI box I would assume that would ultimately fry it correct?
