Surprise Attack Snow

There calling for a very, very localized 6-12 inches of snow where I live on the coast of Maine, man its a small world, but after this storm, there will already have been over 2 feet of snow for us for the season!

sahweeet!

really, i cant complain. we have 10" on the ground, but with a string of 3 30 degree days starting today. it will go fast. supposed to be a huge storm coming from the rockies on friday night that will now miss us and possibly bring us rain...I have never paid so much attention to winter weather...

And then turn cold again and more snow Monday and through the rest of the week. Lake effect Thursday and Friday.

HOLY SNOW. I'm in the dead center of NH (ashland, holderness area) and we have 8" already and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon! I rode to work and I can't wait to go play on the way home! What a year to buy a new (used) sled... my first decent sled ever and I couldn't be happier! Just wanted to share with some people who are as excited as I am! Oh and "winter" hasn't even technically started, by the calendar!

we were only suppossed to get about an inch or two yesterday, but ended up with about 6 inches of really nice powder. Couldn't wait to get up north this weekend so I took the sled out for a run on the streets around my house. Definately caused a few double takes. Not many people riding sleds in the city! That makes about two feet over the last couple of weeks which is a lot around here this time of year.

awesome good to hear that people DO ride in cities when it dumps. My friend lives in cambridge and we always joke about riding around when it snows a ton, like down along next to the Charles or just down the snowy roads. Not like a cop could keep up with you... your tracks might give you away though... I'd love to do it sometime!
