Tillotson to Mikuni carb conversion?
I called up the guys who did the service work to the engine, and told them how the carb was acting up. There saying I should switch to a "Mikuni", excuse the spelling if I am wrong, but they said those were much more reliable, and that it would be $135 for one. Are they pulling my leg or does this sound like a good idea for the 1972 TNT skidoo?

Very reliable and easier to tune.
You will have to have a fuel pump added and a hole drilled and tapped for the impulse line since the tillotson uses a port through the manifold.

is there a chance i hooked up the return line wrong on the tillotson? I dont know of any manifold, I put the return line over the top off a pin size hole off the carburetor, that sound right?

I just tried to start the TNT again. The thing just is bogging left and right and sounds like crap. Now I know its completely carb related and not the engine anymore seeing its just been rebuilt. I was driving on it, and just tuning the carb as i drove it, and no matter what i did, it didn't bite at all, it just bogged down and barely would go 10mph and when doing that it would just sound awful. I have to do something fast, because this winter is setting up to be the biggest in a very long time, and I don't want to waste another storm sitting on this damn thing fiddling with carb needles. Err, I cant explain how frustrated I am to once again be posting something bad about this thing again...
