old toro 521 snowblower parts

I just went to the local shop to pick up a pull start for my snow blower, see title, with a 5hp tech. engine and they wanted $50 for the assembley. I know how dare i work on other things but my sled but i hate shoveling more and it leaves more time for sledding SEG or anyone else know where i can pick one up, it can be used, abit cheaper then 50 smackers Looking for a parts break down so if anything just order the 2 parts that i need.

Thanks for the non snowmobile answers

The ground started freezing here it going to be so soon

That's what the sled is good for, just do power turns in the driveway. Throws snow real well.

I have a brother that does some tech work for Toro what exactly do you need?
And hey a question is still a question regardless of what the motor is on right?

You might try these guys. They are listed on the misc parts parts link list under carburators I think.
Snowthrower Parts
You didn't say what make of engine it has in it. You might check engine manufactuers website for parts break down.

I'd just get the whole thing. Does the recoil unscrew from the shroud (should be 4 bolts)? That way you don't have to scrrew with the recoil spring, etc.

seg,
it does have the removable recoil and that is what they wanted $50 for. I agree i don't like messing with the spring but if it saves me $20 i will.

Snowrida from a different thread on founding members locky mentioned they voted that it was my turn to shave your back/manboobs at the MI ride. I understand he must have fallen when he got off the little yellow bus that day thanks Locky
