No spark

New to the forum. I picked up a 1993 Arctic Cat EXT 550 EFI this past spring on the cheap. It ran well back in May, but now I am unable to get the thing started. This is my first sled since childhood, so I am a little lost. I don't appear to have spark, and have done the obvious (charged battery, new plugs, I had the coil bench tested, I was told it was bad, so I replaced that.) The kill switch located near the throttle was not working when I purchased the machine, but did not prevent it from starting earlier. where should I go next before spending any real cash? Any info would be appriciated.

first

Unplug the key switch as well as the kill switch and recheck for spark.

Then if no go replace the coil....

Then if no go I would suspect stater...

Good luck its a nice sled!

How are you checking for spark? Get an inline spark tester to be sure. If it is indeed no spark, it's either the coil, CDI, or stator in that order, after you verify it's none of the switches.

These are a "closed loop" system, you need to put a bypass jumper in wherever you unplug a switch.
