They look kinda wonky, but I think it'll work just fine. I like to use MX type helmets, I just run a Gator underneath it...

Something to keep in mind when you are choosing you helmet is whether or not you wear glasses like i do. If so you definitely want one that has a vent in front or you will be adjusting you lens to prevent fog up on your glasses. You helmet is pretty much the style you want and just make sure it is dot.

MX helmet with goggles on a quik-strap. I've never used a heated visor but the regular full face with visor I found was fogging up and freezing up constantly. Never have a problem with MX set-up.

No not really. Just don't go too cheap. Make sure it fits properly especially around your cheeks so the cold air and snow can't get into the sides of your helmet. When you go to get goggles take the helmet with you and insure that the goggles fit snuggly within the helmet. If your nose and chin get cold there are numerous types and styles of balaclavas out there. I highly suggest a Quik-Strap for the goggles. Check out the websites if you don't already know what they are. One handed fast on, fast off. No slipping goggles straps.
